The purpose of a filament drying device is to remove moisture from filament strands to improve the 3D printing process. When filament is stored in an environment with any moisture, it absorbs moisture. Then, when you print with filament, the moisture expands as it heats up and affects how consistently the filament comes out of the nozzle. One of the key advantages of the SUNLU S4 is the pre-configured temperature settings for the most commonly used filaments such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, PA and PC. With the integration of a PTC heating element and a two-level safety switch design for temperature control, the device offers a double protection system to ensure safe operation. An additional layer of soft gel on the roller prevents problems caused by prolonged exposure to high temperature, eliminating the risk of coil deformation.

The design is distinguished by an elegant rounded square shape with eight ventilation holes, which ensures optimal air flow. This innovation, with four openings at the top and an additional four on the front and back of the device, contributes to even drying of the threads. An additional advantage is the four spool holders, enabling the drying of four spools at the same time, which is a significant improvement over previous models.

The central 350W PTC heater provides outstanding heating efficiency with a 50% increase in efficiency compared to previous models. This heater independently regulates the heat output, preventing overheating. Three built-in fans ensure efficient circulation of hot air for even drying of threads.

Dual sensors for monitoring temperature and humidity, together with a touch screen, simplify the user's work. Pre-set drying profiles for different filament types make installation even easier, while the intelligent dehumidification mode keeps internal humidity low.

The S4 is perfect for multi-color 3D printing with the capacity to dry four spools simultaneously.
